New pictures of the gown you already know. When the left one was taken, I had no idea how posed it looked - with the light on me and me standing in the center and all. Not very much like me, but... yeh, I think it looks pretty good anyway. Except that it really needed some ironing... *g*

Gorgeous! Is that fabric from Ikea by any chance? I made a short-gown out of it and wish I had bought the whole bolt!

I just make appointments with my fellow costumers for a little photo shoots, walks, picknicks or I go to Living History Events of Fire & Sword in Scoland or with the Lumieres in Germany.

I wonder if we have anything like that here in the states. I mostly do Elizabethan because we have renfaires..but i would like to get into other eras as well, just for fun. ^.^ Thats so cool though that you have ppl that'll dress up with you and just "hang out".

If you live anywhere at the Westcoast, you'll find plenty of people like us, I think, for example on the Greater Bay Area Costumers Guild. Famous people often going to events there are "Koshka the Cat" and "Demode" (try to google them). I don't know much about the rest of the country. You'd probably be best of with reenactors for the Revolutionary War or the Civil War, but of course they are often concentrating more on the battles then on the era itself. If you're living in the very east, I'd die to change with you for a week because I'd looove to go to Colonial Williamsburg - but I guess they don't allowed costumed visitors. So... that's all I know.
